Take all those scraps from you & friends a sew them together. No matter you put together it will eventually look great. (A get-together with everyone bringing scraps is a fun way to approach this project.)
Trim & Press all the strip sets.
Let the Cutting begin!
Placing the template/square on point makes the most interesting blocks and save those odd pieces for later.

Left over triangles can be sewn to solid blocks which then will make 2 blocks!
